Bluestone Wales is a beautiful, green and gorgeous holiday park in Pembrokeshire. We stayed on a self catering basis in May 2018.

The Room
We stayed in a Grassholm lodge, sleeping 8 people in 4 bedrooms. The lodge included outside space where you could barbecue, and a seating area for you to enjoy the sun. The kitchen equipment is top of the range, with a dishwasher included. There is an en-suite for the master bedroom, and a further two bathrooms for the other three rooms. The downstairs bathroom is absolutely gorgeous. We would say this is better quality accommodation than Center Parcs, and more similar to a villa.
The food
There are various restaurants and pubs at Bluestone. We tried the Knights Tafarn, which is a traditional pub and therefore has typical bar meals. The quality is similar to a chain pub, and kids meals are great value. The pub also has entertainment in on regular occasions, and we took part in a hilarious pub quiz.
The activities
You HAVE to check out the swimming pool – this is free for Bluestone guests. It gets busy, but its worth the crush! They also have early morning and evening events for Bluestone guests only.
There are lots and lots of activities for you to book (these are chargeable) for adults or children. These include arts and crafts, roller skating, climbing walls and lots more, including their famous SkyWalk. Free activities include swimming, a guided walk and of course the playground.

Another great free activity is Camp Smokey – you can toast marshmallows (they aren’t free!) round an actual fire. Its down in the woods, and such a great experience. You can also book a fantastic Shindig – one evening a week they have a traditional woodland party in the woods. It includes dancing on tables, stamping of feet, and a great buffet meal. Simple, but tasty food rounds off the evening well. If you are celebrating a birthday, make sure you tell them on the way in and they will suitably embarrass the lucky person!
Added 2023 – Bluestone now have an amazing undercover area with lots and lots of activities – we hope to visit again soon to report on the changes!
We paid for this trip in May 2018. Bluestone Wales is well worth a visit.
